Information about bunnies

Breeding:
This is what I've gathered when breeding

Breeding Process:
- Put you doe (female in the Bucks (male) pen
- Wait for the buck to hump the doe and fall off 2-4 times, and/or wait till he thumps his feet.
- Put the doe back in her pen for 30 minute then try again
- Wait 31 days for babies

Between the breeding process and babies:
- Check the mom every week  to make sure she looks like she is doing well
- Check the mom's weight every week if possible
- When the mom is in the 2nd or 3rd week she probably won't want to be picked up when she is pregnant, but I would still try to weigh her, try doing it without picking her up.
- Keep track of when you mate her
- By the 27th day you should put extra straw and hay in a spot where she doesn't poop.
- By the 28th day about the mom should start to build a nest (doesn't mean she will give birth)
- When she is at the 31 day mark then I would for sure check for babies
- The mom will most likely give birth in the morning
- Some female bunnies don't like it when you go in to see the babies so if that happens I would let the mom run around outside while you check on the bunnies.
- You might lose some babies from the start or later on

When Babies are born:
- Once the babies are born check the nest and count how many babies are alive and check for any dead babies
- Handle them daily, or just as much as you can
- Wean babies from mom at 6 weeks of age.  (you can wean at 4 weeks of age but is not a smart idea)
- Wean half of the babies at one time if there is more than 4 babies
- You can sell them after they are weaned
- I suggest that you keep them an extra week to make sure that none of them get sick.
